Local Atractions
There's a lot to see and do at Darley Mill but whilst you're in the area why not visit one of the other local attractions. All are within a 30 minute drive of Darley Mill.

Brimham Rocks
Set within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this fascinating moorland is filled with strange and fantastic rock formations and is rich in wildlife.
Ripley Castle and Gardens
Ripley Castle has been the home of the Ingilby family for the last seven hundred years and makes a really interesting and entertaining trip out. The Castle and Gardens are open to the public all year round.
Mother Shipton's Cave
Mother Shipton lived some 500 years ago. Her predictions became known and feared throughout England, with many of them proving uncannily accurate even today. Based in Knaresbourough, her legendary cave is alongside the famous and unique, geological phenomenon - The Petrifying Well. See its magical cascading waters turn items into stone!
Pateley Bridge
The attractive little market town of Pateley Bridge, with its colourful summer floral displays, is packed with shops, cafés, art studios, guest houses and welcoming public houses. England's oldest sweet shop can be found here and along with Bewerley has won the Britain in Bloom competition twice.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal
Yorkshire's first World Heritage Site is a huge estate of beauty, contrasts and surprises including the largest abbey ruins in the country and one of England's most spectacular Georgian water gardens. The perfect place to escape from it all.
Nidderdale Museum
Situated in the picturesque town of Pateley Bridge, this fascinating and friendly museum is housed in the former workhouse and its 11 rooms illustrate the rural life of Nidderdale in the recent and more distant past.
Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway.
Your journey takes you from Embsay station (built in 1888) to the new award-winning station at Bolton Abbey. Through picturesque Yorkshire Dales scenery, Bolton Abbey station is the ideal stopping off point for a pleasant one and a half mile walk to the ruins of the 12th Century priory.
Skipton Castle
Over 900 years old, Skipton Castle is one of the most complete and best preserved medieval castles in England and is well worth a visit at any season of the year. Explore every corner of this impressive history-rich castle including the Banqueting Hall, the Kitchen, the Bedchamber and Privy. Climb from the depths of the Dungeon to the top storey of the Watch Tower.
King Street Workshops
A small group of highly talented and skilled craftspeople who collectively design and make their beautiful and exclusive pieces in a variety of materials including: fine wood, clay, hand-blown glass, precious metals and gemstones.
Bolton Abbey
Located on the A59 on the outskirts of Skipton, Bolton Abbey provides over 80 miles of footpaths through some of the most spectacular scenery in England. The monastic layout can still be seen and is one of the best examples in the north of England.
Stump Cross Caverns
Stump Cross Caverns is one of Britain's premier show caves. Located in Nidderdale on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a great experience for the entire family. Be sure to watch the twenty minute film presentation shown explaining the history and development of the caverns.
